Annual conference
The Association holds an Annual Conference
every year, with participation from member countries, donors and
other invited guests.
Financial Management Course (FIMAC)
ESAAG runs the course for Senior Government
Finance Officers. FIMAC runs for two weeks, twice per year in June
and October in Pretoria, South Africa. This program has also been
downloaded to the Universities of Botswana and Tanzania who run it
once a year in the respective countries.
Internal Auditing
ESAAG provides country specific courses and
workshops on Internal Auditing. ESAAG has developed and now runs a
course for senior officers in the internal audit area in public
sector in Pretoria twice per year.
Leadership and Development Program
Supporting the Accountants General and their
top management with leadership skills and training through a
regular workshop on strategic management and leadership
development.
IPSASs
ESAAG runs workshops on IPSASs for creating
awareness and promoting their adoption.
Country specific projects
ESAAG conducts country specific studies to
assist its member countries to improve government accounting
systems and financial management in order to produce
financial
statements in accordance with international standards.
Gender Mainstreaming
ESAAG continues its workshops on gender
issues for creating awareness among its members.
Executive Management Course
ESAAG runs the course for Senior Government
Officers in charge of Human resources. The course runs twice a
